Would you like to volunteer in environmental conservation? Are you looking for new cultural experiences?
Mother Nature environmental conservation programs exist at 3 fantastic locations in the midst of the most beautiful natural settings: On Sado Island in Japan, in the rainforest on the slopes of Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and on the tropical island of Zanzibar in the Indian Ocean.
As a volunteer, you can contribute to the conservation of these unique environments. At the same time you will be part of local communities such as rice farmers in Japan, coffee farmers at Kilimanjaro or small-scale farmers & fishermen in Zanzibar, allowing you to get to know the local culture intensively in a unique way. Every day, you can join various volunteering group activities under qualified guidance.
You will live in large, comfortable fully furnished tents with other international volunteers. In Japan there is also the option of staying in a historic Buddhist temple.

Who can participate?
Everyone aged 16 and over can participate. There are no formal requirements. You should however be motivated, interested in environmental conservation and open to local culture and people. Also, you should not be afraid to get your hands dirty.
Mature volunteers are also welcome, as are families with children and groups.
When and for how long can I participate?
You can arrive as soon as in one week (if that's what you want :-)). We only need one week of lead time for your program participation. The programs on Kilimanjaro and in Zanzibar are active all year round. Our program on Sado Island is seasonal. The 2024 season will be from June 10 to October 14, 2024.
The minimum duration for all programs is one week. The maximum duration is only determined by the maximum validity of the visa you can get (Zanzibar 90 days, Tanzania 180 days, Japan 90 days for most nationalities).
