Homestay & Volunteering in the USA!

Are you eager to spend time in the USA to improve your English skills and dive into everyday American life?

We offer a program in the USA in cooperation with CHI (Cultural Homestay International) that allows you to live with an American host family for 4-12 weeks while volunteering in the community for 25-35 hours per week. You can choose from a wide range of volunteer activities!

This program can be done under the ESTA visa waiver - or if you are of a nationality requiring a visa, on a B1/B2 visa that we will supply the required application documents for. There’s no need for a complicated visa application process. The requirements are minimal, making it accessible to almost everyone!

Why spend time in the USA?

  • Cultural Immersion – Experience American life up close, from family traditions to regional specialties, and gain insights into U.S. culture and values through your host family.

  • Language Practice – Living with native English speakers is the ideal way to boost your language skills in everyday settings, giving you confidence for school and your future career.

  • Community Volunteering – As a community volunteer, you’ll have the chance to give back while learning about local and social issues. Plus, you’ll gain valuable life and work experience.

  • Friendships & Connections – Living with a host family and volunteering is a wonderful way to build lifelong relationships that enrich your life.

  • Adventure & Exploration – From iconic landmarks to local events, the U.S. offers endless opportunities for discovery. Volunteering lets you see places most tourists don’t get to explore.

  • Personal Growth – Homestay and volunteering develop your independence, boost your confidence, and enhance your problem-solving skills, helping you grow in many ways.

  • Career Development – Participating in this program is a great asset on your résumé, showing employers that you’re adaptable, culturally aware, and community-minded.

On behalf of the entire team at IPSD, I extend our sincerest gratitude to you. We are truly thankful for your generous provision of internship opportunities for our students, enabling them to gain valuable work experience and successfully complete their internships. Your support and assistance have made a significant difference in the lives of our students and will serve as a valuable asset in their future careers.

We look forward to continuing our collaboration and creating more valuable opportunities for students together in the future. Once again, thank you for your generous support, and best wishes to you.

Living with an American Host Family in the USA

Living with an American Family

Typical American, middle-class families lead stable and structured lives. They value cultural exchange and warmly welcome guests, often making time for shared activities to give you a real glimpse into their daily life. You’ll enjoy access to amenities like internet, transportation, and recreational facilities, and many families include sports, family events, and local gatherings as part of their lives. These open and friendly environments make it easy to feel at home and build genuine connections.
