Role with World Unite!: Assistant to the program leader at our environmental volunteering programs in southern Zanzibar

Mohammed is from the village of Muungoni. He is an active young man who is eager to learn new skills. He is an assistant to Mohammed, the program leader of our volunteering activities in the Jozani Forest area of Zanzibar.
What do you enjoy the most about working with World Unite!?
I enjoy working with the volunteers, helping them, being there for them, and attending their needs.
Where in Zanzibar do you find most enjoyable to spend your leisure time at?
I enjoy spending my time at the Forest Camp.
What is your favourite local food, and where can you find it?
My favourite food are Pilau, which is a local food, bananas and rice.
What should participants coming to Zanzibar make sure not to miss?
They should make sure not to miss a visit to the mangroves, also Kitogani and Muungoni villages, to see how the people live there.
Do you have any hobbies or special interests, and where can you do your hobbies in Zanzibar?
I love sports, such as football, diving, swimming, and also gym.
What is the most memorable episode that you have experienced with a World Unite! participant?
There were some volunteers from Germany and Italy, Mark, Mariam, Andrea and Babu. They were very kind, and they cared about us as we cared about them. Even today we are still friends, and we continue chatting regularly. They were Hakuna Matata.
