Sudipta is our coordinator and providing support services to our participants in Navi Mumbai. She is also an arts teacher and is running her own art academy for children where we offer volunteer placements. Sudipta is from Bengal, but has been living with her husband and her two sons in Navi Mumbai since 2004.
What do you enjoy the most about working at World Unite!?
I like working with World Unite!. I love being part of World Unite!-team. I am associated since 2009. I love the world-wide exposure I get through this work. World Unite! has transformed my life completely. I am thankful to Chris and Katherina for the trust they have in me.
What place in India do you find most enjoyable to spend your leisure time at?
I love to travel to different parts of the country during leisure time.
What is your favorite local food, and where can it be found?
I love typical Bengali cuisine cooked by my mother at my home.
What should participants coming to India make sure not to miss?
Different varieties of traditional Indian food. All varieties are easily available under one roof in any malls of Mumbai and Navi Mumbai.
Do you have any hobbies or special interests, and where can you do these?
My hobbies are drawing and painting. They are part of my occupation. I also run an art academy for hcildren which it localized at the house where I'm staying.
What is the most memorable episode that you have experienced with a World Unite! participant?
All my memorable episodes revolve around my first Participant Maxie. She came to India in September 2010. She gave me my lifetime memories. She was the one who introduced me to different cultures and explained how people in different parts of the world view India. She is always in my prayers and I will always love her.
