With a World Unite! remote or virtual internship, you gain international work experience by interning with a company or organization abroad—without the need to travel. You will communicate with your internship supervisor and other colleagues via video conferencing, telephone, email, and instant messaging platforms.
All our remote/virtual internships are hosted by companies and organizations in the countries where we operate. These are long-standing local partners with extensive experience working with international interns. Our local teams support both the internship organizations and you to ensure the best possible learning experience.

All internship supervisors hold relevant academic qualifications and have substantial work experience that they will share with you.
Flexible start dates and duration! You choose when to start and how long to intern. Short-notice starts are possible.
Part-time or full-time! You decide how many hours per week you want to commit (between 4 and 40 hours/week). This includes both supervised time and time spent on assigned tasks.
You can complete the internship in English, or in the language of your host country, if preferred.

Mental Hospital Zanzibar
The Mental Hospital "Kidongo Chekundu" in Zanzibar follows the biopsychosocial model, which takes into account the aspects of biology, psychology, and the social environment holistically. Internships are available for students of psychology, medicine, and social work.
Sober Houses Zanzibar
Sober Houses are self-help residences for drug addicts. In addition to psychiatric nurses, they also employ facilitators who are former drug addicts. Internship supervision is provided by external professionals.
Lutindi Mental Hospital
The Lutindi Mental Hospital, run by the church, is located in the Usambara Mountains and aims to help drug addicts overcome their addiction through occupational therapy in an environment completely different from the Tanzanian cities.
Psychology in Jodhpur
The clinical psychologist (PhD) runs a clinic in Jodhpur, India. She also serves as a consultant for a nonprofit organization focused on girls' and women's empowerment, where you can participate in local projects. Additionally, she specializes in criminal psychology.
Hope House Cape Town
The Hope House provides individual psychological counseling and therapy for people of all ages. Typical issues include the loss of a loved one, separation/divorce, depression, and addiction/dependency. Internships are available for psychology students starting from the 3rd year of study.
Autism Therapy in India and Online
The Autism Treatment and Multidisciplinary Child Development Center in Jaipur is a leading therapy and research center specializing in autism and other developmental challenges. The team consists of clinical psychologists, occupational therapists, special educators, and speech therapists. Internships are available both on-site and online.
Remote Internship in Psychological Counseling
You will work on case studies and discuss your observations with the psychologist (PhD). The goal of the internship is to develop your skills in counseling. The number of weekly hours and the duration of the internship are flexible.
