Event-Space City Hub in Tokyo

The 'World Unite! City Hub' is the located on the ground floor of our World Unite! building in Tokyo. It is a multifunctional space that is used almost around the clock.

Japanese language classes

Japanese Language Classes

Firstly, our Japanese language classes take place in the City Hub’s rooms on weekdays in the mornings and afternoons. Once a month, our group conversation courses for beginners start. The courses are aimed at participants of our Working Holiday, internship, and volunteering programs in Japan, but can also be booked by anyone solely for language lessons for a duration of 1-8 weeks.

We also run a special "Culinary Japanese" course twice a week in these rooms, which is aimed at participants of our cooking classes and restaurant internships in Japan.

In the late afternoon, our Japanese-English language exchange also takes place in these rooms three times a month, which program participants can attend at no additional cost.

cultural workshops

Cultural Workshop Space

On Saturdays and Sundays, we regularly arrange cultural workshops in the City Hub rooms, which can be booked by anyone and which participants of our Working Holiday, internship, volunteering, and language programs can attend either at no additional cost or for a small extra fee. These include, for example, kimono dressing with a photo shoot, calligraphy lessons, or workshops in various disciplines of traditional Japanese crafts.

lounge area

Lounge Area for Residents of Our Sharehouse

When no language classes, workshops or events are taking place in the City Hub, the rooms are available to all residents of our Shiohama sharehouse. This is usually the case in the evenings and at night. Access is via a smart lock.

As a resident of the sharehouse, you can use the sofas, video projectors, a table football, an electronic dart game, a music keyboard, a large gaming monitor, and a book collection, or simply spend time in the rooms to study, work, or have fun with your housemates.

event rental space

Event Rental Space

External organizations and individuals can rent one or more rooms of the City Hub by the hour at attractive rates, for example for events or courses.

We are located in a relatively central location within walking distance of Kiba (Tozai Line) and Shiomi (JR Keiyo Line) train stations, Kiba Park, the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo - MOT, and the Monzen Nakacho and Toyosu areas. There are three rooms of different sizes, all fully air-conditioned, with smart lighting, video projectors, whiteboards, and tables and chairs for up to 40 people. We also have a small, soundproofed video studio with professional lighting and green screen, white screen, and black screen backgrounds.
