One-on-one Swahili Language Lessons in Moshi, Kilimanjaro
Swahili, also known as Kiswahili, stands as the most widely spoken language in East Africa. Approximately 90 million people in Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Congo, Burundi, Rwanda, and Mozambique converse in Swahili.
Structurally, Swahili is distinctly a part of the Bantu language family. However, its vocabulary incorporates words from Arabic, Persian, Indian, English, and, to a lesser extent, Portuguese origins. This linguistic blend mirrors Swahili's evolution along the East African coast, where foreign seafaring traders intertwined with local communities, giving rise to the unique Swahili culture and language.
We provide Swahili language courses in Moshi, Kilimanjaro, Tanzania. The lessons prioritize communication skills and oral expression. You will receive personalized instruction from a trained, experienced language teacher, and native speaker. Group classes are also available for those who prefer shared learning experiences.
All proficiency levels, from beginner to advanced, are welcome.
As teaching locations in Moshi, public cafés or the premises of YMCA are usually used.
You have the flexibility to determine the intensity of teaching. Part-time options consist of approximately 10 hours per week, while intensive courses span 20 hours per week. Considering the additional homework, we recommend a maximum intensity of 20 hours per week. Class schedules are flexible and can be tailored in consultation with the teachers.
Tip:
If you want to learn Swahili at two attractive locations, in addition to taking Swahili lessons in Moshi/Kilimanjaro, you can book Swahili lessons in Zanzibar with us. The teachers at both locations can coordinate regarding the contents of your lessons.
