Internship

Tanzania's leading media companies work at an international level. In the bustling city of Dar es Salaam, you can take part in a media internship in fields such as graphic design, video production, web design, social media marketing, or photography. Alternatively, you can opt for a journalism internship at an English-language newspaper. We collaborate with various companies in Tanzania's media industry offering internships. In addition to the placements mentioned here, we also work with other similar organizations.
Description

This internship is also available as an remote/virtual internship.

Advertising and Media Agency

A leading advertising and marketing agency in Tanzania, designing and implementing campaigns for both local and international brands, offers internships at its headquarters in Dar es Salaam.

The agency's services include graphic design for online and print media, video production and editing, web design, social media management, media planning, media buying for social media, large-format printing, display advertising, event organization (e.g., product launches), and advertising photography. A trending topic is collaboration with Tanzanian social media influencers, who often have significant influence in collectivist societies like Tanzania.

As an intern, you can participate in any of these areas, depending on your interests. You will be assigned an experienced supervisor who will provide tasks and professional feedback. Internships are typically full-time (Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week).

No prior experience is necessary. Tasks will be tailored to match your skill level and interests.

Newspaper Internship in Tanzania

Tanzania Standard Newspapers (TSN) is a state-owned publisher producing the English-language Daily News (daily), Sunday News (weekly), and the Swahili-language HabariLEO (daily) and SpotiLEO (sports edition), along with their online versions. They also produce social media content for X, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook. TSN has modern printing facilities and a nationwide distribution system, covering topics like national and international news, politics, society, business, science, health, sports, and entertainment.

Your internship will take place at the TSN headquarters in Dar es Salaam, where you will be supervised by an experienced editor. You’ll be given topic suggestions for research and article writing in English, including image sourcing. You may also write articles based on agency reports or propose your own topics, which may be published.
