Planning, procurement, installation, operation, and maintenance of solar power systems
The company, founded in 2006 and headquartered in Jaipur, specializes in the planning, procurement, installation, operation, and maintenance of solar power systems. The company employs approximately 80 staff members, with around 10-15 working in the office at any given time, while the rest are engaged in fieldwork.
A key focus of the company’s work is commercial and industrial installations, as well as on-grid solar parks with a minimum capacity of 400 kW. The company manages the entire project lifecycle, including feasibility studies, design, installation, operation, and maintenance.
The company has a team of electrical engineers responsible for planning projects and supervising installations. At any given time, the company is working on 7-8 projects across India, as well as occasional international projects in countries such as Ghana and Senegal. Parts of the installations are preassembled in the company’s own manufacturing facility. The maintenance team for existing solar parks consists of 40 technicians.
In addition, the company owns and operates three solar parks with capacities of 20 MW, 30 MW, and 70 MW, which feed electricity into the public grid.
Another new and growing focus of the company’s activities is solar installations for residential households. These are small systems that do not require extensive customized planning but instead use standardized plug-and-play systems. Given the growing popularity of such systems among homeowners and India’s large population, this segment also represents a significant and expanding part of the company’s business.
Tasks for Solar Technology Interns
Interns at the solar company in Jaipur should have an engineering background. Their main tasks include creating technical drawings for the planning of commercial and industrial solar projects using software such as AutoCAD or SketchUp.
Interns also have the opportunity to travel to installation sites together with experienced engineers; travel costs are covered by the company. An Indian SIM card is provided to facilitate communication.
For those interested, there is also the option to join the maintenance team to gain hands-on experience in system maintenance. Furthermore, interns have the chance to visit suppliers, including Indian solar panel manufacturers. It is a requirement of the Indian government that all on-grid systems installed in India must exclusively use solar panels produced in India.

Shared serviced apartment in Jaipur
The apartment in Jaipur features 4-share dorm rooms, separated by gender, all equipped with AC. It comprises 2 western toilets and a shower with hot and cold water. Wifi internet is available.
3 meals per day are included. Breakfast is self-service (coffee, tea, toast, oats, banana, egg, jam). Lunch and dinner are delivered. The meals are vegetarian Indian dishes like chapatis, daal, and vegetables. In the evening, there might be additions like Indian pizza, Indian burgers, and noodle dishes. The apartment also offers a shared kitchen with a microwave, kettle, toaster, and induction cooker that can be used for preparing additional meals or snacks. Filtered drinking water is provided.
There is a guard at the entrance of the building and a CCTV camera on the main door, with a curfew at 10 pm.
The apartment is located in the northern part of the city in a good residential area. A metro station is 500 meters from the building, providing access to the city center, central bus station, and railway station. Several malls are within a 1.5 km distance. The neighborhood has restaurants and parks. The Old City is 9 km away (20 min by taxi), making the location comparatively peaceful and safe with less noise and hustle than in the Pink/Old City.
Host Family in Jaipur
You will live with a local Indian family ready to welcome you as a family member, sharing food and space with you. Each family is carefully chosen to ensure they meet the required living standards for our participants and are interested in cultural exchange.
You can choose a single room or share a room with one more participant of the same sex from our programs. The apartments are equipped with AC and heating, western toilets, hot and cold showers, wifi internet, and filtered drinking water. Meals are included, but you can also access and use the kitchen.
Food includes a vegetarian breakfast, lunch, and dinner prepared by the host. Breakfast options include traditional Indian paratha, poha, toasted bread, etc. Lunch and dinner are similar in India and often include lentils, rice, chapati, and fried vegetables.

In Jaipur, India, we offer one-on-one English lessons. Classes usually take place in our office in Jaipur from Mondays to Fridays. As it is individual instruction, it can be tailored to your needs and interests. Course materials are included in the tuition fees. All instructors hold an Indian qualification as language teachers. The intensity is 60 minutes per session on five days a week. You can book a certain number of weeks under "Extras" while the minimum duration is two weeks. At the end of the course, participants receive a certificate confirming the duration and content of the lessons. |
