internship in sustainable development in Zanzibar, Tanzania

I am immensely grateful to World Unite! for enabling me to undertake a profound internship journey in my home country, Tanzania.

Returning from Taiwan to engage in practical experiences within my local community was both a heartfelt reunion and an enlightening learning expedition. During my Internship with World Unite! I engaged on a variety of environmental and social sustainability initiatives. From Coastal Conservation which include sea turtle conservation, seaweed farming, and mangrove reforestation to comprehensive programs targeting plastic waste through awareness, collection, recycling, and upcycling, every mission expanded my experience and thrilled my dedication to conservation.

My immersion in regenerative and sustainable farming methods like permaculture and aquaponics was invaluable. However, participating in sustainable rural tourism initiatives aimed at empowering coastal communities to generate revenue was a testament to the collaborative impact I have achieved. This internship has served as a transformative bridge between my theoretical learnings from Taiwan and their practical application within my Tanzanian local community. It equipped me with a wealth of knowledge and practical skills that I am eager to bring back to my community upon graduation.

The strong guidance, support, and mentorship from the exceptional team at World Unite! have been instrumental in empowering me to deal with challenges and seek solutions that will catalyze positive change in my local community. This journey marks not just a chapter, but a foundational pillar for the impactful changes I aspire to instill. I eagerly anticipate further collaboration with World Unite! to foster a more sustainable and thriving environment for my community.

Thank you, World Unite! for this life altering opportunity.
