Healthcare Mission in Jaipur, India

This unique medical mission in Jaipur, India combines hands-on service, institutional exposure, and cultural immersion, empowering participants to make a real impact in underserved communities while gaining a global perspective on healthcare systems.

Over the course of 1 to 9 days, participants will engage with both private and government hospitals, collaborate with local health professionals, and deliver essential health education and screenings in slums, schools, and shelters. You can add opportunities to explore the vibrant heritage of Jaipur and the iconic Taj Mahal in Agra. This trip is more than a service opportunity—it's a chance to step beyond comfort zones, build cross-cultural understanding, and develop leadership and clinical insight that lasts a lifetime.   • Hospital Visits

Tentative Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival & Orientation (Jaipur)

  • Arrival in Jaipur & hotel check-in

  • Welcome dinner and team introductions

  • Orientation Session:

    • Program goals & expectations

    • Overview of healthcare system in India

    • Cultural briefing: local customs, language basics

  • Distribution of medical kits and field materials

Day 2: Institutional Exposure

  • Morning: Visit to a Private Hospital (e.g., Eternal hospital)

    • Tour departments: ER, pediatrics, OBGYN, surgery

    • Interaction with doctors/nurses

  • Afternoon: Visit to a Semi-Government Hospital (e.g., Mahatma Gandhi)

    • Understand challenges in public healthcare

    • Brief on infectious diseases, maternal/child health

  • Evening: debrief and group discussion

Day 3: Institutional Exposure Continued

  • Morning: Workshop with public health officials or NGOs

    • Learn about TB control, immunization, sanitation programs

  • Afternoon: Medical university or research center visit

    • Technical knowledge exchange with students and professors

  • Evening: Cultural activity (e.g., yoga)

Day 4-7: Field Service (Slums, Schools & Shelters)

  • Mornings:

    • Health screenings (BP, BMI, vision, hygiene awareness)

    • Health education in schools/shelters

    • Distribution of hygiene kits and basic supplies

  • Afternoons:

    • Home visits (if permitted)

    • Collaborate with local health workers (ASHAs)

    • Mini-clinics or wellness workshops

  • Evenings: Reflections and cultural activities (Bollywood dance, Henna tattooing, Indian outfit/ saree workshop)

  • Field Sites may include:

    • Urban slums in Jaipur

    • Government schools in under-resourced areas

    • Orphanages or children’s shelters

Day 8: Jaipur Sightseeing (Cultural Immersion)

  • Visit key landmarks:

    • Amber Fort

    • City Palace

    • Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds)

    • Jantar Mantar (astronomical site)

  • Optional: Traditional Rajasthani dinner at Chokhi Dhani

Day 9-10: Agra Excursion (Optional Add-on)

  • Day 9: Jaipur → Agra (private transport)

    • Visit Agra fort and Baby Taj

  • Day 10: Agra Sightseeing

    • Sunrise visit to Taj Mahal

    • Return to Jaipur

Accommodation:

Shared apartments (4-share rooms), hostels (6-share rooms), hotel accommodation

Meal options:

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included

  • 7 days’ program with shared apartment accommodation: 780 Euro per person

  • 9 days’ program with shared apartment accommodation: 920 Euro per person

  • 7 days’ program with twin room in 3★ hotel: 1200 Euro per person

  • 9 days’ program with twin room in 3★ hotel: 1340 Euro per person

Included: all program activities; private transport; translation support of coordinators, accommodation as described; vegetarian Indian meals, Jaipur sightseeing entry tickets, guide fees, if extension is added then a 3★ hotel in Agra, tour guide, transfer and local transport, Taj Mahal and Agra fort entry tickets.

Not included: insurance, personal expenses, other entry tickets not mentioned, any food that isn’t part of the planned meal (non-veg meal for example).

Travel information:

International flight to Jaipur International Airport. You can opt for arrival to Delhi International Airport with a bus transfer or train transfer to Jaipur. We can organize pick up from the train station or bus stand.

Safety:

A comprehensive risk assessment and emergency management plan is available. Coordinators will be accompanying the team in the field and all the sightseeing will be conducted with a professional guide.
