    GROUP PROGRAM

Happiness & Purpose Journey – Coaching Program

Our Happiness & Purpose Journey Programs combine group happiness coaching, grounded in the science of positive psychology, with cultural exchange, community engagement, nature-based experiences and real-world learning in inspiring destinations. The programs are designed to support resilient, purpose-driven individuals and teams.

Through authentic engagement with people, cultures, and places, participants step outside familiar environments and comfort zones. This lived experience fosters self-awareness, adaptability, emotional wellbeing, and stronger collaboration, insights that are practical, memorable, and directly applicable in both the workplace and daily life.

They are suitable for corporate and professional groups, leadership and executive programs, universities and business schools, NGOs, foundations and social enterprises, parents and family groups, government bodies, schools and public institutions, as well as any other groups seeking meaningful, experience-led personal and team development beyond traditional retreat-style wellbeing or team-building initiatives.

Each program is carefully tailored to group dynamics, objectives, group size, and location. Guided by your intention and interest, the journey is then designed to create lasting value for participants, organizations, teams and with communities involved.

To create a customized group program, please provide us with your specific interests, trip duration, proposed travel dates, approximate group size, and the age of participants.

What is Happiness Coaching?

Happiness coaching provides a structured yet supportive space where participants are encouraged to slow down, reflect, and explore what genuinely supports their wellbeing in everyday life. Sessions are grounded in evidence-based happiness practices, mindfulness, and reflective coaching techniques, supporting participants in developing greater awareness, emotional resilience, and clarity. The approach is gentle, inclusive, and non-judgmental, allowing participants to engage at their own pace.

Programs can be designed with morning coaching sessions providing time for guided reflection, intention-setting, and group dialogue, helping participants make sense of their experiences and gain new perspectives. These sessions are complemented by afternoons dedicated to lived experience, where participants engage with culture, nature, people, and meaningful activities connected to the local context. This structure allows insights from the coaching sessions to be applied immediately and embodied through real-life situations.

Coaching is delivered in a group format, encouraging shared learning, connection, and the exchange of perspectives, while still allowing space for individual reflection and personal insight. The focus remains practical and accessible, offering simple tools and practices that participants can continue using long after the program has ended.

The program can be delivered online or on-site at various World Unite locations worldwide, adapting to the local environment, culture, and activities available at each destination while maintaining a consistent wellbeing framework.

Locations:

  • Tanzania captivates with its vast open spaces and powerful sense of scale. From sweeping savannahs and iconic wildlife to views of Mount Kilimanjaro, daily life unfolds close to nature. Encounters with local communities and time spent on coffee farms or in rural settings offer an authentic glimpse into East African culture and rhythms of life.

  • Zanzibar blends island calm with rich cultural heritage. White-sand beaches, turquoise waters, mangrove forests, and historic Stone Town create a naturally slower pace. The island’s Swahili culture, spices, food traditions, and ocean sunsets invite presence and sensory connection.

  • India is vibrant, layered, and deeply expressive. Colourful markets, sacred temples, daily rituals, and strong community life offer constant moments of contrast and reflection. From shared meals to traditional practices such as yoga and meditation, India engages all the senses and encourages inner exploration.

  • Japan is defined by harmony and mindful attention to detail. Ancient temples sit alongside modern life, while forests, mountains, and coastlines remain ever present. Everyday moments — shared meals, seasonal traditions, quiet walks, and community involvement — reveal a culture rooted in respect, mindfulness, and simplicity.

  • Latin America (our countries include Bolivia, Nicaragua and Ecuador) is warm, expressive, and full of life. Lush landscapes, coffee regions, music, and strong social bonds shape daily experiences. Community spirit, storytelling, and close ties to nature create an environment that feels welcoming, energising, and deeply human.

  • South Africa (Cape Town). Set between the iconic Table Mountain and the Atlantic Ocean, Cape Town is a city of striking contrasts and natural beauty. Vibrant neighbourhoods, long beaches, coastal hikes, and nearby vineyards sit alongside a rich and complex cultural history. From local markets and cafés to ocean sunsets and mountain views, Cape Town offers an inspiring mix of urban energy, nature, and everyday South African life.

Activities to choose from:

  • Group happiness coaching sessions, grounded in positive psychology and wellbeing science, combining facilitated discussions, reflective exercises, practical tools and experiential learning. Sessions can be adapted to the group’s goals, professional context and stage of life.

  • Guided reflection and purpose-oriented activities, such as journaling, values clarification, intention-setting and group debriefs that help participants connect insights from daily experiences to personal and professional life.

  • Community engagement and service learning, including visits to local community initiatives, schools, cooperatives, NGOs or conservation projects, with opportunities for hands-on involvement, dialogue and mutual learning.

  • Cultural immersion experiences, such as interactions with local communities, traditional crafts, music, food, storytelling or everyday life, designed to foster intercultural understanding and meaningful exchange rather than surface-level tourism.

  • Nature-based experiences, including beach walks, forest or coastal activities, ocean-based experiences, or time spent in natural settings that support reflection, presence and psychological restoration.

  • Mindfulness and embodiment practices, which may include breathwork, light movement, grounding exercises, guided silence or nature-based mindfulness, adapted to the cultural and environmental context.

  • Group connection and peer learning activities, encouraging dialogue, shared storytelling, collaborative problem-solving and relationship-building within the group.

  • Real-world learning and contextual input, offering insights into local social, environmental or economic realities, sustainability challenges and resilience practices, often linked to the overarching themes of happiness, purpose and wellbeing.

  • Integration and closing sessions, focused on consolidating learning, identifying personal and collective takeaways, and translating insights into actionable intentions for life and work beyond the program.
