Primate Conservation in South Africa

This program allows participants to gain hands-on experience caring for orphaned and injured monkeys at the Vervet Monkey Foundation in South Africa. The program is open to groups from schools, universities etc. and provides a comprehensive itinerary focused on primate care and animal husbandry. In addition to volunteering, participants will have the opportunity to explore the country's wildlife, including an excursion to Kruger National Park.

Accommodation:
Accommodation at the Vervet Monkey Foundation is provided in shared wooden cabins that sleep 2-6 people, or shared tents that sleep 2 people. Wi-Fi and laundry services are included at the Vervet Monkey Foundation. During the Kruger National Park excursion, you will stay in shared 4/3-sleeper huts with communal washrooms.
Meal options:
All meals at the Vervet Monkey Foundation are vegan. Breakfast is self-served, while lunch and dinner are prepared meals. The program also includes three meal packs for the excursions. Dinner on the Kruger National Park trip will be a set menu at a restaurant. Snacks and additional refreshments are not included.
