Spanish language lessons in León/Nicaragua
In Léon/Nicaragua, you can receive Spanish language lessons and at the same time explore this fascinating central American country.
You are going to have a private tutor who can pay full attention to your individual needs. He or she will first find out your level of Spanish (Castellano). From beginner to advanced - all levels can be taught. 2-3 participants booking together and having the same level of Spanish language skill can share a teacher and learn together.
Participants with advanced Spanish skills can state preferences for areas they want to improve in. It is for example possible to train certain specific vocabulary such as business Spanish or technical Spanish.
All of the teachers are from Nicaragua and their lessons often include topics dealing with the culture and everyday life of Nicaragua and Léon.
At the end of the course, you will perform another language test to find out about your improvements.
The lessons will be given at a friendly and informal space which serves as a vegetarian restaurant and art gallery at the same time (CocinArte). To make practical use of your newly acquired language skills, you will further visit local markets, shops and families together with your Spanish teacher. Importance is given to the active use of the language in conversations and everyday life. Every Fridays the language course includes an excursion using public transport to the beach and other local sites, together with your language teacher, combining sight-seeing with practising your language skills.
Typically, the intensive language course will be 4 hours Monday to Friday (20 hours per week).

Intensive course (20 hours per week - 4 hours per day Monday to Friday), for instance in the beginning of your stay in Nicaragua to improve your language skills prior to starting your internship/volunteering:
1 Person, 20 hours - 100 €
2-3 Persons, 20 hours - 75 € p.p.
After this, you can continue with less intensity, for instance 10 hours per week:
1 Person, 10 hours - 50 €
2-3 Persons, 10 hours - 38 € p.p.
If you just travel to León to learn Spanish, you book our package including language lessons and accommodation:
Rates including host family accommodation on full board per week:
1 Person: 220 €
2 Persons (sharing double-room): 190 € p.p.
Rates including accommodation in shared apartment or family WITHOUT meals per week:
1 Person: 150 €
2 Persons (sharing double-room): 110 € p.p.
