Sculpturing school – carving, sculpturing, casting

The sculpturing school, a non-for-profit charitable foundation teaches all forms of plastic arts such as wood carving, stone sculpturing, pottery, metal and concrete casting. Traditional African as well as modern styles and techniques are taught. Besides the plastic arts subjects being taught are English, marketing and entrepreneurship.

It is the aim of the school to give talented individuals a professional training which enables them to produce „art“ and not just „souvenirs“. The graduates should be in a position to advance Tanzanian Art and to market it successfully.

Volunteers should have advanced skills in one or several of the taught – or related – techniques and should be able to communicate them to the pupils.
