Nursery school teacher/educator for orphans and street children

This volunteering option will take place at the Yesu Anaweza Centre. You can read more about Yesu Anaweza on this page.

The Yesu Anaweza Pre-School has got three classes, each with around 20-30 children. One class is for children aged 3-4 years, one for children from 4-5 and one from children aged 6-7. While the younger children are primarily playing, the slightly older ones are already taught in subjects such as reading & writing, simple calculation and religious topics. All ages are painting and doing sports. 

Volunteers should have first experiences dealing with children. 

It is also possible to be at the nursery school of some SOS Chilren's Villages in Tanzania.
