Children's theater in Tanger
To children from poor families aged 9 years or older, the NGO “Flambeau Artistique” is offering the possibility to participate in several activities, with the main focus on theatre play. Every year, the children are publically performing a theatre play.
"Bambeau Artistique" has been founded in 1983 by Mr.
Abdelaziz Chekroun, who as an art director has already presented his children's theatre productions on many national and international festivals. He is very actively involved in the theatre scene of Tanger.
The idea of the organisation is to approach youth to the world of theatre, by making them actively perform, by making them see performances of others, and by cooperating with other charitable organisations.
Activities that are being carried out include workshops such as body expression, theatre dance, theatre play and vocal expression. "Flambeau Artistique" is doing street performances, excursions and cultural and sporting encounters. A work group is producing short films.
Volunteers/interns should be able to contribute skills of theatre acting, dance, film, video or other arts.
