Please note that the following cost overview refers to our
offers listed in the categories "Volunteering" and
"Internships". The info box below each project description
states whether our trouble-free packages is optional or mandatory.
The costs for "Voluntourism", "Voluntourism
Hopper" and "World Learner" are given directly at the respective
descriptions. It is not required to additionally book the "trouble-free
package".
a) Fees for World Unite!

b) Overview over other costs
We provide you with this information so you can
calculate the total costs for your stay in Nicaragua. The following costs are to
be paid at your destination to the respective people offering their services
(e.g. landlord). All costs stated are approximated and we cannot guarantee them. We can give you the exact costs for rent as soon as we know your
activity, dates, duration and location of stay.
• Return travel from central
Europe € 700-1100 (you book your flight yourself and we can give you some
advice)
• Accommodation & meals,
selected by us as part of the trouble-free package. We can confirm exact costs
and availability of accommodation options around 2 months prior to your stay.
León: Accommodation with a host family approx. 112 USD per week including breakfast and dinner, single room with your own shower and toilet. Alternatively, staying at a hostel without accommodation for approx. 130 USD/week single room.
Cost for food, if you always eat out at affordable places (when staying at the hostel), around 300-400 USD per month; cost for additional food if you stay with a family but have lunch at affordable restaurants every day, around 120-150 USD per month.
• Travel health insurance, max. € 30 per month
• Visa, when entering the country 5 US$, from the 4th month on 15 USD extension fee per month (2009 rates, for most nationalities)
• Possibly costs for vaccinations if they are not covered by
your healthcare insurance
